Incorporation of third-party services and content
This Site may incorporate third-party content, such as YouTube videos, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. As a prerequisite therefor, the providers of such content (hereinafter referred to as “Third-party Providers”) need to know the user’s IP address. Without the IP address, it would not be possible to send the content to the respective user’s browser. The IP address is therefore necessary for displaying this content. We endeavour only to use content from providers who use the IP address solely for the purpose of delivering such content. However, we have no influence over whether Third-party Providers store the IP address for statistical or other purposes. If we become aware of this, we notify the users accordingly.
Cookies
Cookies are small files which allow specific information relating to the user’s access device (PC, smartphone, etc.) to be stored on the said device. Firstly, they serve to make webpages user-friendly, thus benefiting the users (e.g. by storing login data). Secondly, they allow statistical data concerning the use of webpages to be collected and analysed for the purpose of improving the Site. Users can control the use of cookies. Most browsers offer the option of restricting or completely preventing the storage of cookies. However, it should be noted that without cookies use of the Site and, in particular, user convenience will be compromised.
A large number of online advertising cookies from companies can be managed via the US webpage http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU webpage http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ .

The data entered during the registration process will be used for purposes relating to use of the Site. Users may be notified by email of information relating to the Site or registration, such as changes in the scope of the Site or technical issues. The data collected is displayed in the input mask during registration.
Google Analytics
This Site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on the user’s computer and allow use of the website to be analysed. Information generated by the cookie about user interaction with the website is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.
However, if IP anonymisation is activated on the webpage, the user’s IP address is truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymisation is enabled on this Site. On behalf of the operator of this Site, Google will use this information to evaluate user interaction with the Site, to compile reports about Site activity, and to provide the Site operator with further services relating to use of the Site and the Internet.
The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other Google data. Users can prevent cookies from being saved via a corresponding setting in their browser software; however, we wish to point out that this may result in certain functions of the Site not being fully functional. Users can also prevent the data generated by the cookie regarding their use of the Site (incl. their IP address) from being transmitted to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
As an alternative to the browser add-on or in the case of browsers installed on mobile devices, please click on this link in order to prevent future data collection by Google Analytics on this Site. This will result in an opt-out cookie being stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click on this link again.
Use of Facebook social plug-ins
This Site uses social plug-ins (“Plug-ins”) provided by the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plug-ins can be identified by means of one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on a blue tile, the term “Like” or the “thumbs up” icon) or by the wording “Facebook Social Plugin”. For a list of Facebook social plug-ins and what they look like, go to: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
Whenever a user calls up a page on this Site containing such a plug-in, the user’s browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The plug-in content is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which then incorporates it in the webpage. The Provider therefore has no influence over the scope of data collected by Facebook with the help of this plug-in, and the information it provides to users is based on the knowledge at its disposal at the time
Integration of the plug-ins results in Facebook being informed about the user having called up the respective page of the Site. If the user is logged onto Facebook, the latter can assign the visit to the user’s Facebook account. Whenever a user interacts with the plug-ins by clicking the “Like” button, for example, or entering a comment, the user’s browser transfers the corresponding information directly to Facebook, where it is stored. Even if the user is not a Facebook member, there is a possibility that Facebook will gain knowledge of his/her IP address and store it. According to Facebook, only anonymised IP addresses are stored in Germany.
Information about the purpose and scope of data collection, how it is processed and used by Facebook, and the related rights and setting options for protection of user privacy can be found in Facebook’s data privacy statement: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a user is a Facebook member and does not wish Facebook to collect data about his/her use of this Site and link it to his/her member data saved on Facebook, he/she must log off Facebook before visiting the Site.
+1 button of Google+
This Site uses the “+1” button provided by the social network Google Plus, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). The button can be identified by the “+1” icon on a white or coloured background.
Whenever a user calls up a page of this Site containing this kind of button, the user’s browser establishes a direct connection with Google’s servers. The content of the “+1” button is transmitted by Google directly to the user’s browser, which then integrates it in the webpage. The Provider therefore has no influence over the scope of the data collected by Google via the button. According to Google, no personal data is collected if the button is not clicked. This kind of data, including the IP address, is only collected and processed from members who are logged onto their account.
Information about the purpose and scope of the data collected, how it is processed and used by Google, and your respective rights and setting options for protecting your personal privacy can be found in Google’s data privacy statement concerning the “+1” button at: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html and in the FAQ: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+1/button/.
This Site uses the Twitter service buttons. These buttons are made available by Twitter Inc. 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They can be identified by terms such as “Twitter” or “Follow” together with a stylised blue bird. Using the buttons, it is possible to share a post or a page of this Site on Twitter or to follow the Provider on Twitter.
Whenever a user calls up a page of this Site containing a button of this kind, the user’s browser establishes a direct connection with Twitter’s servers. The content of the Twitter buttons is transmitted by Twitter directly to the user’s browser. The Provider therefore has no influence over the scope of data collected by Twitter with the help of this plug-in, and the information it provides to users is based on the knowledge at its disposal at the time. According to this information, only the user’s IP address and the URL of the respective webpage are transmitted when the button appears, but not for any purpose other than displaying the button.
Further information on this subject can be found in Twitter’s data privacy statement at http://twitter.com/privacy.

Upon request, the user is entitled to receive information about the personal data stored about him or herself. In addition, the user has the right to request that any inaccurate data be corrected and that his/her personal data be blocked or deleted, providing there is no statutory obligation to save it.
